“A very even bash game which saw a stalemate in the 1st half as each side traded blows in the middle of the pitch. A last moment break away would have registered a score for the Hammerz but Nuffle had different ideas and saw a trip crossing the TD line!!! 2nd half and the Hammerz began to bash away once more. An advance up the left wing was blockaded with excellent positional play from the voetbal! A switch of play to the other wing yielded more progress but again the voetbal side surrounded the ball carrier and pushed back in the bash battle....
A heroic effort was required. Daggerz dodged away from close attention and hurled a pass right at the limit of his range. The ball spiralled into the sky toward Dinkz who had taken up a position in the endzone. The catcher was under close protection from a defender but he reached out a big green mit and miraculously caught the spiked pigskin!!!! A great opponent who had the Hammerz coach out of ideas at several points during the game played well and took the score in the spirit of BB!”
