“A game which was mainly played at the half way line saw several attempts to break away by the Viperz thwarted by good positional play by the home side. At one point a goblin broke through the lines but was promptly blocked into the bloodthirsty crowd! A 1st half stalemate carried on into the second half. A game of attrition which eventually saw the Viperz ranks depleted as the 2nd half wore on. The home side did break clear down the left wing and were threatening to cross the line and score. However, the Viperz managed to dodge away, blitz and surf the ball carrier into the crowd to repay the 1st half debt. At that point the game looked to be heading toward a draw....until Nuffle cast his hand.:) The trolls began to misfire due to lack of direction/lack of support and when they did gather their senses, a critical Both Down roll handed the impetus to the Decay side. They calmly gathered the ball and moved toward the corner! A game Viperz side managed a 2 dice uphill blitz on the ball-carrier which only yielded a push. The home side then blitzed home and crossed the white line.....

An interesting 1st outing for the experimental Viperz team and a game against a friendly coach.”
