“The ref and nuffle were against me in this one, 8 fouls resulting in 5 cas with only 1 ejection. A valiant effort kept the score at 1-0 up at half time but after that it was downhill big time.

Nuffle teased us with a chance to win, or at least secure a draw with just 4 players, but nuffle put pay to that with a 2 rr to 1 on a 3+ pass to get the ball to within scoring distance. After that fumble the cas flowed, pitch cleared, score in T8 but with none of my players waking up again a bonus TD awarded in T10.

Only one rookie lino wakes up to the after party making it 11/13 failed KO rolls! The only consolation is that all the perms were done to rookies, mercs and a solitary experience lino. Looks like I am going to have to spend all my savings...

Despite all that it was a fun game and clearly Calcium was having a whale of a time!


Update: The chance to win WAS there if the blitzer had caught the ball (I had a reroll on the catch too). Yes he would have been 3d blocked next turn but there would at least have been a chance of some fail and the ball would have been far enough away that I would have had a shot at stopping the 3 turn TD and clinch the draw (maybe with a dodgy pick up or hand off). Maybe running to the corner would have been safer but 5 turns is enough to hunt down 4 players. Either way with it was all very unlikely!”
