A lone Catcher, lots of perms, only one guy with Block, one Tackler, one Mighty Blow... plus, you know, they're SLANN. And this is BOX. Clearly they had no idea what was coming to them...

BOY, WERE WE WRONG.

Deep kick into the corner stays on the pitch, accompanied by a Blitz! The saurus attempt to push forward, but are met by 6 Pushes against the 3 Linefrogs. The Slann respond by RIPing a Blodge saurus (the team's only Tackle) with a off-hand block by a journeyman. They follow up with a leap and Blitz into the backfield, to Pow the ball. By turn 6, they had scored, as the Lizards began leaving the pitch. We were lucky on the return, though, and managed to counterscore on turn 8.

A questionable foul was seen by the ref and left the Slann short-handed at the start of the second half. Their offense was devious, making full use of Fend and Wrestle to stop the saurus in their tracks. Thanks to a wry hand-off to a NOS blitzer, the Slann came within a hair's breadth of sealing the deal, but unfortunately failed the leap toward the goal line. The lizards swarmed in and grabbed the ball, but frog after frog leapt past the saurus and threw themselves at the skinks, fighting for the ball. Inevitably, they POWed and badly hurt the ball-skink, but the catch landed right into the hands of a blodge Saurus, and the Lizards were saved by Nuffle himself.
