Opening blocks and blitz Badly Hurt the Orc Troll (Apo'd) and left a rookie Black Orc with smashed hip–– both without any Mighty Blow, Claw, or Piling On required. The Underworld decided not to stall, as they stopped causing any more damage.
Turn 3, the Orcs receive. That Troll, fresh from the Apothecary's table, takes one look at Wrecker and smashes him across the face, giving him a "bad hurt" of his own. Not wanting to play the rest of the match troll-less, we decided to let our own Apothecary do his thing. A few turns later, a formational error and a lucky bounce let us steal the ball from the Orc carrier, and Prosigoreus scampers in for another TD.
The Orcs receive again on Turn 6. This time, their Troll STILL holds his grudge against Wrecker, and smashes him into the KO box with his first block. The Underworld accidentally decapitate a Black Orc in retaliation. Handing off to the goblin, it looks like the Orcs will successfully TTM–– reroll ready, throw is good, scatter is good, but the poor goblin can't find his footing and splats onto the pitch.
Wrecker is, at this point, too frightened of 'dat tiny troll wid da angry eyez' to return to the pitch, and 4 goblins and 5 rats attempt to defend without him. In true Underworld fashion, this quickly becomes 1 goblin and 5 rats. Gravir slowly manages to wear the Orcs down to 8, then 7. The Orcs seem to be taking their time advancing the ball, and the rats manage to break into the cage and surround the carrier. A particularly 'brave' -2D block by a rookie lineorc against Gravir Wildwhiskers puts the would-be hero on the ground and lets Gladiolus bring down the ball-carrier. A wildly successful break away by our new thrower puts him in the Orc backfield, and Prosigoreus grabs the ball and lobs it to him for a Turn 16 TD.
A tough game for the Orcs, but Coach Ariman was a true FUMBBLer and never flinched from the horrific injuries his team suffered.
