Second half kick went out-of-bounds, and it was possibly a mistake to give it to the Wrodging Saurus - definitely a mistake to push a flawed cage up the middle. Coach C took advantage of that, and his Ag 5 blodger scooped it. A lucky no-Tackle blitz knocked it free and our Ag 4 recovered, but out-manned we were soon overwhelmed, and that Ag 5 soon had the ball again.
The Turn 16 score was icing on the cake, but nothing the Expats could do besides try a long-shot for the tie - which failed.”

It was Bretonnia winners against Albion winners, and the lizardmen will have been confident coming into the match leading the head to head series 2:0 with 2 victories in previous seasons.
This is a different Pirates side, with the fierce Siemon and the accomplished Urdithane. Backed by the likes of the ball carrier Tomas Bot and tough ogre Arnold, they have developed a winning habit and the Expatriates spent most of the game under the cosh.
Winning the toss and receiving, the Pirates drive had a relentless feel about it and Tomas Bot ran in unchallenged as the Kroxigor was unable to figure out how to get near.
Smeat will have been a fair bit thankful for 9 lining up for the 2nd half, an out of bounds kick lending hope. However soon the defense got a tight grip on the cage and the ball was knocked free, Urdithane stealing it. A saurus clipped his ankles and a skink briefly had it but was forced back. Siemon was savaging any sauri passed back to him from the maul and soon there just wasn't enough lizards to protect the ball - and it was back in the hands of the super star dark elf.
After a comical series of skulls, there was an outside chance of a miracle come back... but not today. Instead, Urdithane overcame his inner hatred and passed it to Sander Theysen to put a stamp on the win - but the dark elf only did so to reach the 100spp mark in the Championship match.
