The game started off slowly in this tight elf on elf match. An over cautious start led to the ball being in the wrong place at the wrong time and too soon it was a TD.
This quickly followed by another and then another, 0 - 3 down and it wasn't looking good. My opponent was riding his luck with the passing, blocking and dodging and to quote my opponent "nuffle favours the brave" - and he certainly was.
The second half finally saw my team playing like elfs....a few passes and the rub of the green saw me run in an early TD and a late one to make it look slightly more respectable 2-3.
Well done to my opponent who played the elfs to all there strengths and secured a win.”
