The elves had a huge 380k in inducements to play with and took Prince Moranion, a babe and dragged in a wandering apothecary off the streets. Meanwhile the Elites won the toss and chose to receive.
A brutal first turn saw Olithir Veverell niggled on debut and Gavryl Ariskgo BH'd. The ogres had started well. In reply, pile on merchant Joe Tool was fouled and KO'd, he wouldn't be partaking in the rest of the drive. Banoffee was able to pop the ball, but the Elites recovered their position, and caged up half way in the Cakes' half.
The game turned on two uphill blocks (-2d) first to create the gap and second by star player Moranion who popped the ball, which Carrot was able to retrieve and launch towards Strawberry to dash towards the line. A stall and a hand off, stall and hand off and then some more stalling (despite ogres and snotlings putting tacklezones on the ball carrier) before rookie Ragnar Kriistmyo scores.
Second half starts and the elves pick up and position. Three ogres bonehead as the Cakes consolidate their position. Some dancing around commences before a failed dodge and KO leaves the ball in the free. The Elites pick up the ball and half cage, but the Cakes are able to retrieve and score on turn 6.
A dropped hand off allows the elves in on the final turn, to put an undeserved gloss on the score and make it 3-0.
Thanks for the game Mr Lemon.”
