“In our last match we suffered a bruising defeat to Undead and two Elves lost their lives. But after a long break we were prepared against the Tombstones.
Receiving Teclis Dart did a quick pass off to Terith and Ultra badly hurt a zombie on the LOS (which regenerated). We tried for one side but couldn't shift a ghoul on the flank and regrouped in the middle before getting past on the other side. Syriux X was badly hurt by the mummy Blue Beard but we had all our players devoted to shielding the ball carrier and managed a long stall before Terith Starlight scored.
In the brief moments they had to receive at the end of half 1 the Tamperers recovered from a pitch invasion and badly hurt an Elf and ko'd another. Down to 9 players suddenly things looked less sure for us.
2nd half the Elves were feeling spry and blitzed forward with Ultra catching the ball in the Undead half. He sidestepped a blitz but couldn't quite dodge away to safety. A ghoul picked up but then himself ran and stumbled over and Death or Glory got the crucial pickup and TD.
After that the Undead hit and fouled us hard and got their first TD straight through the middle. In our final kick receive we almost screwed up when blitzing a Wight into blocking contact. Terith saw a sight of the TD line but a bad block led to him being taken down and only a wet ball prevented the Undead from taking it back to the other end. A 2-1 secured. Death or glory got an injury which the apo couldn't do anything about but he deservedly takes the MVP.”
