“Got a bit lucky to win this game. 1st half was pretty standard--really even in play and ended with the game tied 1-1. However, I had 3 out for the 2nd half..Each Jouryney man was out (one KO, one BH, one Killed), so things were looking pretty grim
And, in fact, the Pact were pretty much in control and 1 turn from scoring, when the luck struck. Really the turn they broke for the EZ, didn't go so well, as they couldn't get many knockdowns, and left me with a small chance to get the Dark Elf Ball Carrier, Willard. Sure enough, my BC, Speedy, got to him and got a POW as well as picked up the ball.. but things did not look well for me at all, as I was deep in my own EZ, and down to about 6 players on the pitch, many of whom were out of position. However, my luck continued, as Bloodshed had to use a RR early on a GFI while positioning for a 2db Speedy. This proved disastrous, as the 2db on Speed was SKULL, POW/SKULL, and the blitzer did not have block. Speedy lived up to his name and Proceeded to get to midfield, while the rest of my meager crew was able to either get into position, or knock key players down. Another bad turn for Bloodshed ended early, and Speedy was now deep in opponent territory with no way for any opponent to get near him. Scoring on my turn 7 left the Chaos Pact team with only one turn to score, and me with 4 players on the pitch. They got a pass off and the game was over, with my Dwarves pulling out the improbable win.
Lost a claw blocker, and a guard blocker is now niggled...so the game was not so good on that front. Hmm. should I buy a couple of blockers, or get the 2nd Bull back...decisions, decisions.
