“*** Cult of Moon - Calthor Cup Round 1 - The Halfmasters ***

The Moon Cult knew what to expect when they met the vicious halflings on day 1 of the cup. They had met before, over on the Shadowspire. Halflings don't stand up well to the elves' propensity for carrying knives on the field, and so it proved again.

The game started in some confusion as the Borosian League Administrators mistakenly awarded the Halfling's 'competition bonus' to the cult and they spent it before the error was realised. Some of the Halfling coaching staff complained to the match officials and the game was to be abandoned when Cap'n Sandflea was heard to say " 'arr, quit ye whinin' laddies, les gerrout thar an' smash sem fairies te pieces". They certainly gave it their best shot giving as good as they got in the fight, but the finesse of the elves won out in the end. The game really came down to Sallie's inability to land consistently after being hurled downfield, giving up possession on a few occasions with the goal-line in sight.

For the Cult it was a good match, the proceed to the next round and the Skaven - A team they didn't fare well against before but a team lost since the death of their leader. Maybe they're there to be beaten?”
