Not much went right in this one. Had my chances, but always felt like I was fighting Nuffle.
Lost the FAME (with higher FF) and lost the coin flip, so the Orcs received and we had 8 turns of them grinding down field and removing Elves. Had hoped to receive to score quickly and put pressure on with the Wizard, but wasn't to be.
Orcs were forced to dodge for the TD at the end of the first half and failed, so it ended 0-0 first half.
Second half down players my drive got a bit messy and after a couple of 1's on a play the ball was in the middle of the field for the Orcs to collect. Used the wizard, made a few dodges and managed to get the ball across the line T5.
Orcs had little time left, but the kick off was a riot which took the pressure off them and I was unable to stop the score for 1-1. Had a chance of a OTS, but after a quick snap I couldn't get the required push.
Into overtime and I managed to win the flip this time, but this kick off was a pitch invasion, leaving me 4 active players, one of whom managed to fall over and go off the pitch. Had to resort to a 1D with no rerolls next turn and the inevitable skull came up handing the game to the Orcs.
In a way I sort of expected to lose this one. My last game took me to the number 1 ranked player spot in Blackbox and I was never going to be there for long!
Lost a couple of key players too, so it's time to decide on either rebuilding, or retiring and keeping with the Nurgles / Wood Elves. Best to decide in the morning.
Blimey, waffled a bit there ...”
