This must have been a tough match to swallow from the other side. Victor was grumpy from the start (and got worse after the OTS), and it showed in his play and in his chat.

We won the coin toss, elected to kick, got a Blitz! and created a tremendous scrum on the ball before anything else could happen. It took awhile, and we were losing the attrition war, but we managed to pop the ball into a clear enough area for Martin to scoop it and score. The Chestys responded with a strong north-side drive, and though we were able to make them roll a lot of dice, they succeeded in a Turn 8 touchdown to skill up Soggy Puddleblaster, which we followed with a successful seven-rat OTS from Martin to make the score 2-1 at the half.

The second half, we got the ball, and drove south. The Chestys popped the ball and forced a punt (which sailed beautifully over to the far side and bounced right next to the sidelines), and some bad dodging on their part gave us the manpower advantage. Still, it was Dodge on no Dodge, and scrumming is not our strong suit. A failed dodge on the Turn 13 scoring attempt forced a half-die block on Turn 14 and a successful retry on those failed dodges to ice the game. We kicked deep on the bottom of Turn 14, the Zons made a southbound push, and it fell apart right from the start, culminating in the Chestys' medical staff mercy-killing the promising Gritta Goop after she was maimed by Jenner in Turn 15.”
