The first half went about as well as it reasonably could have for the Lizards–– the suffered some KOs (which returned) stopped the stall, made the Chaos spend their Apo, managed to counter-score, and kept one of the killers out for the next drive.
The second half, however, was just an absolutely devastating series of failed maneuvers for the Lizards and successes for the Chaos. Krox went Bone-head Turn 1, which upset the offense enough to allow the Chaos to do a very brave sequence of dodges and blitz the ball with an unskilled Beast, Pow, GFI GFI, grab the ball, sans reroll. Although they were still within Blitzing range, a Double Skulls on a block the next turn wasted the Lizard's TRR, and the GFI to hit the ball-stealing Beast failed.
Next drive, the lizards started with 0 Rerolls, with 6 turns to equalize. It began to look like we might have a chance, but another Blitz from an unskilled beast smashed the ball carrier, this time ending his career. The greatest frustration was still to come, when the Kroxigor went Bone-Head 3 consecutive turns, each of which would have allowed a Blitz on the ball.
Our only silver lining is that no one important died... which I suppose is the most we can hope for in such a match.
Coach Chilango_Light played a good game, and has now repaid us for our previous smashings!
