First turn says it all, once my woodies were in place to receive and score turn 2 the norse came into action and tried to put down the potential receviers. One of them even got the privilege of being fouled with a chainsaw but Helmut roll a double 1!!! thus the chainsaw is out and my lino stays on the pitch!
Then two rules slowly made their way in the game: woodies fail most of their last 2+ before scoring and berserkers were to KO one WE per turn (I didn't count but I'm fairly sure I don't exagerate).
So T2 WE thrower misses a short pass (rule 1) for the first TD and we have to wait for T3 to have a pickup, hand-over and run to the endzone (exception to rule 1).
Then on the kick off the norse ball handler fails to pick up (could be a 3rd rule actually), WE rush it. 2 turns later a WE fails to catch a pass while standing in the endzone (rule 1), bounce out, bounce out, the ball is back mid field in the middle of the norses. TD for the norse turn 8 (2 WE remaining on the pitch).
Score 1-1.
Second half, out of 7 KO 6 are back. WE are back in the game. Norse take the ball and start a slow drive to exterminate the WE, remember the -1/turn? T5 norse stall in front of the line (in the corner one tile away from each side). WE are down to 4 guys, the remaining wardancer still finds and openning and rushes the ball carrier but misses its leap and gets fouled > KO. Next turn a loner blitzes, dodges, 1DB both down, RR POW! ball carrier pushed prone in the corner, balls bounces back in. The last standing elf goes for it and runs almost out of reach of the norse, goes for it and ... fails (rule 1). Norses regroup, foul as much as they can and but the ref sends 3 of them out. On the last turn norse have a 20 tile drive to achieve with an almost empty field rule 2 was still in action (one loner stuck along the side line and a prone thrower). The WE thrower stands and tries to reach the most probable receiver of the norses to stop the TD. He stands, 1DB both down saved by block on each side, 3+ dodge, 2+ dodge... fail... and KO (rule 1).
Turn 16 the norse gave us a nice show of an elf play, 3+ pick up, 3+ hand over, 3+ pass, 3+ catch and run to the endzone, no rule 1 here :)
Lots of fun in this game, I guess the replay is fun to watch too.
