“XFL VIII Human - Round 2

A tactical battle with both teams doing significant damage on their drives.

The Devil's defense was hampered by a rock knocking out Monk and leaving the team without tackle. Still, the Major Fools left an open cage and the wizard relieved the thrower of the ball. Jim had the diving tackle pushed off him and he slipped in to scoop it up. Which way would he throw? Some players darted one way, others another, and the confusion left the Fools a better chance to regroup after the lineman dropped the accurate pass. Fortunately Jim was on form and knocked down the blitzer with the ball to save the scoreline at 0-0.

All KOs returned and it was 10 Devils vs 11 Fools - who were soon down to 9 as Man at Arms smashed the ogre. Jim tossed the ball his way but the Fools managed to get pressure on the ball and then wrackler Flying Penguins not only knocked the strong blitzer down but also caught the scatter. His team mates were departing from the field quickly and it wasn't looking easy, but Jim left a bit too big of a space to cover and the catcher ran wide and eventually 1-0.

2 turns left; with Jim that's a timeframe that can easily be scored in. However Man at Arms this time drops the catch then fumbles the pick up and the Major Fools advance.”
