This promised to be a tough game for both sides as 2 strong rosters were on display. I topped Cedric's 1 babe inducement by bringing a wizard to the party.
Receiving, early on the Palm got a little wayward. First a dodge was failed but the Raiders flunked the 1D blitz to free up fouling space. Then the Palm went after the Raiders seemingly single handedly - no risky blitzes needed to foul the legend wolf now! Fortunately it was all stuns.
Meanwhile, its team mates were actually doing their job and secured a strong position, scoring KOs before Beggar thumped a super star golem out of the game to make it first blood to Pig Sty Alley. The Palm, not to be outshone, jumped up and smashed legend wolf Blood Drinker but it regenerated as the touchdown was scored with ease. There was a chance for the OTS equaliser and Blood Drinker reached the line of PSA players but failed the dodge.
2nd half and Cedric and his Raiders felt the heat and stormed up the side. His team just weren't clicking and doing more pushing than hitting. Blood Drinker pushed a wight to the side but opted to stay there rather than chance the reroll-less dodge. When a wight failed the dodge to provide cover, the wizard struck then the boot of Hege Håve finished the job. The legend wolf failed to regenrate a 2nd time and that looked to have sealed the game.
In the remaining time the Pig Sty Alley players picked the rest of the players apart and most of the Drakensberg Raiders team were in the casualty box by the end. An almost perfect game was rounded off by Landlady snaking a go for it when she would have skilled up - maybe she'll get a chance in the final.
Onwards kung fu artists! An old nemisis awaits!”
