“Above average performance here from the lads who are still struggling to adapt to having Cruncher on the team. Or, I should say, having Cruncher get paid a fortune to languish in the KO box at pitch side. In a game of two stars, Setekh was momentously brighter. The Cryptic Humours have to changeup their game plan and Cruncher has to pull his bony finger out if we're going to get anything out of the first season.
Still, it wasn't all bad. Ichabod learnt a thing or two about dodging* after ghouls (making their first start together in the same game since the debut, I believe) Johari Lovedash and Mujari decided not to roll below a 3 for most of the game. The fans were also kind enough not to rip off a ghoulish head after a lovely surf and the ball was kind enough not to stick through either of the slimy monstrosity's retinas on the pick up.
Zombie Gez'ani Glurr was awarded the MVP (that's three expendable MVPs in 3 games). If you watch the game really, really carefully, you might just be able to tell me how the committee deemed it fit to bestow up him such an honour.
* He skilled up and rolled doubles, zing, with a first turn casulty that tipped him over the 6 marker. Onwards and upwards from mediocrity, I say!”
“My first game with Khemri, as well as my first proper league game, and it was a good 'un! Lucky enough to get rid of the oppo's B&C monstrosity in turn one and from then on we had the advantage. Setekh was immense, popping out the ball twice and was rightly but begrudgingly given MVP. Stabbings were kept to a minimum with awesome pickups from both sides and we were kept on our bony toes throughout the game but in the end managed to grind out a classic 1-0 win.”
