“There was death here and almost glory, but alas it was just out of reach. The Lizards had lost their tackler recently so we had some hope but we were still outclassed by a powerful team who ripped into us quickly. The Krox immediately started by killing Tyrion while Syrius X was badly hurt by Rhonda, the now superstar Saurus. We ko'd a skink in our slight bit of pain causing of the match and spread out. Prince Moron and others repeatedly tried to get at the skink ball carrier but he was too well protected at first. Somehow Prince Moranion dodged in through Saurii and powed it down. With the ball next to him Prince Moron then tripped and was ko'd. By now we had a blitzer and catcher also badly hurt and the thrower injured. It looked bad. Lorello though dodged at the ball (after a Saurus drop) and saw a great long pass chance as a lino dashed ahead. His nerves were strong but a skink jumped high and plucked the ball from the air. Lorello was promptly badly hurt by the lizards crowding him. The Roughriders scored. We then had a brief moment to receive the ball but Tristus weakly blocked and was knocked down (quad skulls!).

Second half we set up with 7. After a long kick Tristus raced back to get the ball to Teclis. He picked it up and then fell! The Krox then charged close to the ball. Fortunately we got it together and Teclis got the ball up to the strong nerved Speed Kills and he and other elves dodged through. We almost lost the td chance when a quick pass to Ultra was spooned in the sunny weather but he just managed to rescue it. The apparent death of Prince Moron was quite something too.

Speed Kills threw himself into saving the game for us while we were down to 5 players. He brilliantly dodged past skinks, krox and saurii and then with another big pass attempt in sight he fumbled the ball. It just wasn't to be. The Lizards scored and unfortunately we simply were far outhit today. We still lack hitting skills so could our win rate be on decline?”
