“This was certainly the most memorable match in a while for several reasons. Big teams, big plays and big mistakes, while the match hung in balance several times. Add in fun banter and players staying on the pitch to make the whole match more cerebral one of positioning all game long.”
“A savage game on paper turned out to be a bit of a big cuddle. Warmonger was the only real victim as the minotaur hugged him a bit too tightly.
A beastman was briefly dead having gotten in Kerero's way but the apothecary saved its bacon.
In the end this will go down as a victory thrown away by the 'Saws. The ball was well under control but several times the chaos were given chances to rescue things and more often than not it was pulled out the bag - so much so in the final moments of the game that a troll pass was a candidate for a shot at victory. When told to do so, he scratched his head in confusion. He figured it out but not how to pick the ball up. Aztec blamed the coach for poor tactics.
Stonetroll had his own moment to potentially win the game but a fumbled pass, when holding on to the ball ball was the better option, gave the 'Saws the chance to get clear and (so I thought) out of danger.
The fans were booing by half time and most had vacated the ground by full time. For a game of "Blood" Bowl it was not much of a spectacle. Only the anoraks stuck around.
------------------
I guessed IG that the chance to get the ball clear T15 for chaos was ~1/20; on Samba the odds for the dice rolls involved come to 4.88% (no reroll) and 15.9% (reroll, which Stonetroll had) but factor in the crowd throw (3/8 to scatter to the crowd and needed enough distance to get within reach of the punting beastman) at about 1/3 and it isn't far off 1/20, but probably marginally better.
Still, not a bad guess based purely on intuition.”
