The Warriors of Valhalla were celebrating their last game when a group of Bloodsuckers descended on the village. The Thirteen were short-manned, but fueled by liquid courage and joined by a travelling Star who hated vampires even more than they did. Winning the toss, they elected to receive and proceeded to remove thralls and vamps from the pitch. Edgtho is off to a great start and notched his first RIP since returning as an Einherjar. Skeld scored in T7 and we were still able to field a full team. The Thirteen were confident going into the 2nd half. Then the vampires got angry and took out poor Buliwyf on a single die hit to free up a receiver. The receiver dropped the ball, though, probably gloating over the near RIP he had caused thanks to the apothecary nearly botching the job. (Initial roll was the Serious Concussion, Apo tried to kill Buliwyf, I beat him senseless and allowed Buliwyf to live). Once the ball was on the ground, Weath and Ragnar teamed up to retrieve it and the Warriors were able to score again in T7. The Nightmare for the Carpathians ended on their first block of T8 with a pair of skulls, and the Warriors went for more carnage but found none.
The great Buliwyf has fallen, but he will not stay down long. In the mean time, the team will have to struggle on without him. Perhaps now would be a good time to start training new Ulfwereners. Thanks for the help, Wilhelm, you played better than the last game we hired you.
Thanks for the game, Steakachez. Vepar will go down on our roll of honor for his valiant play.”
