KPL Season #2
KFC: North VS South Conference round 4 (round 3 was a forfeit win)

The game started with a Riot, and the ref wound the clock forward 1 turn. The Starlight Corsairs got off to a rough start in T2 with 2 bites and a Badly Hurt Thrall, but came through in the end. Shebhorath knocked the ball free and Wulgar grabbed it and ran. He did manage to score, which actually ended up mattering. The spiked ball really hurt the khemri this game, stabbing players 3 times (but only 2 broke armor). The ref was also hard on the khemri team with 3 send offs.

Second half saw the vamps down 9 to 11, but a Quick Snap on the kick off got everyone out of harm's way. We secured the ball and began to move forward, then the wheels fell off in T3. The ball was knocked free and Ozymandias recovered it, but he fumbled a Pass to get it clear. After one of those failed pickup stabs mentioned previously, Wulfgar recovered the ball and secured it himself. But that was not the last set of snakes we would see. Shebhorash double skulled a block but rerolled it successfully. We continued moving the ball upfield, but the Pilots stayed on our tails the entire way. It came down to T8 and a 1 die blitz. Wulfgar got the push he needed and passed his Blood Lust check, but snaked the Dodge to get into the endzone and the ball sailed into the crowd. Fortunately, the Pilots were not in a position to counterscore and the game ended with another failed pickup and a stab (though this last stab didn't break armor).

Thanks for the game, Chance. You more than doubled my Block total and outfouled me 4:0. I'm just glad my armor held and the apothecary worked on the 1 CAS you caused.

Note for PainState/WhatBall: In T4 of the 2nd half, on the Sun Temple Pilots turn, one of his Thro-Ras (Khe-Ghara I believe) failed a pick up and was stunned but the dice tracker showed the armor roll was attempted and passed by Blitz-Ra Wham-Tut. Why did we not see the armor roll for the failed pickup, and should the Spiked Ball stab more than 1 player in a single turn?

Shebhorash Blood Dragon - 1 fail in 1st half (4 actions - Weni the Elder Badly Hurt T2), 1 fail in 2nd half (4 actions - Radu cel Frumos Stunned in T7), total actions in game 8 with 2 fails
Draculesti Helsinger - 0 fails in 1st half (4 actions), 0 fails in 2nd half (7 actions), total actions in game 11 with 0 fails
Rutger 'Wulfgar' Von Carstein - 2 fails (Pro failed too) in 1st half (6 actions - Pro Failed both times, Bey Irsu Stunned in T2 & T3), 1 fail (Pro succeeded) in 2nd half (6 actions - T6, successfully Pro rerolled), total actions in game 12 with 3 fails (3 Pros, 1 Pro succeeded)
Ozymandia Ptolemy II Philadelphus - 0 fails in 1st half (0 actions, on the bench), 0 fails in 2nd half (5 actions - KO'd the last 2 turns), total actions in game 5 with 0 fails

Total 5 fails (1 successfully rerolled with Pro) out of 36 rolls (3 of 15 1st half spread out over 7 turns and 2 in T2, 2 of 22 2nd half with 1 successful rerolls), resulting in 3 stuns/0 KOs/1 BH as well as 1 successful reroll (Pro). The vintage of the match was Bey Irsu with 2 bites in back-to-back turns in the 1st half (T2 & T3). The connoisseur of the match was the ravenous Rutger 'Wulfgar' Von Carstein, who sampled the vintage twice and resisted the urge once (Pro was rolled on all three attempts but only worked once). Shebhorash was the runner-up with 2 bites and no resists, but neither Draculesti nor Ozymandias succumbed to Blood Lust this game. This was an odd distribution as Shebhorash had the 2nd fewest actions and Draculesti had the 2nd most actions. The game percentage was 13.51% (3 of 15 1st half, 2 of 22 2nd half) but was mitigated some by the 1 successful reroll (out of 3 attempts). Unlike many past games, the 1st half was the thirstier half by far, which is odd considering there were only 7 turns, 7 less actions and 3 vampires on the pitch. While the Blood Lust was more under control this game, we did suffer the inevitable snake eyes that bite us most games and at a crucial moment (a dodge in T8 that would have scored). Our Win column now has 3 to go with our 10 Losses and a meaningless pre-season Draw tossed in (because regular season KPL games don't allow Draws).
