What a ridiculous game!

12 fouls and they resulted in maybe 2 or 3 KOs, and the ref never even wanted to take a bribe until the last turn of the game.

The children played some aggressive defense in the 1st half, since they had a wizard and the AG4 Skitter hanging around to pounce on any loose ball opportunities, but the Midnight kept everything in front of them and used a very loose over lapping set of screens. Finally the KO attrition to the children let the Midnight set up a very safe scoring opportunity on turn 7, and not wanting to risk a wizard on the ball turn 8 with gobbo shenanigams mucking things up they went for the score, but snakes on the catch ended that.

Cleveland then pulled off a pretty amazing set of rolls on their turn 7 to steal the ball, and get it to a gobbo who moved into scoring position, they also managed to dodge out of diving tackler Denario and set up a pretty solid screen. White Rock needed a dodge and 2 gfis to get the blitz on the ball, but made their rolls as well, a crazy multi dodge/gfi pass attempt came up with the 1 on the pick up, but Cleveland really didn't have a great scoring chance left either, so the settled for KOing Joeseph, who had been doing his bit removing gobbos.

The second half started with the Children having a full 13 players for 2nd half, the Midnight were sitting at 10 as Joey stayed in the box. With their wizard and a set of blocks against a suddenly undermanned White Rock side, things were looking grim indeed for the White Rock victory chances.

However, during the half time show the Children apparently forgot how to block. They simply pushed a bunch of Midnight around, and finally found their 2nd set of skulls before they had secured the ball. The midnight were able to open up a lane through which Aaroon was able to double gfi next to the loose ball, and Alexi was able to put a TZ on skitter. The rest of the Midnight simply moved into positions to make it difficult for the Children to connect their players.

The Children did manage to get the ball, but couldn't get it to anywhere safe, and the 2d took down the ball carrier while Jenif ran over, scooped the ball, and passed to Alexi who was able to scamper down to the end line in complete safety.

The rest of the half was mostly about trying to knock down players to foul them, but neither team was able to do any damage, and though the Children did get a few players back to try and force an early score so they would have a TTM chance, the Midnight were able to keep on knocking out Children and keep a safe screen on the ball until turn 16 when Alexi walked it in for the winner.

This was a very strange game dice wise. Sure a 1,1 happens pretty routinely, but the following turn for the Children had them make a string of plays that must have been below 1% in total. Still White Rock came back on turn 8 to stop the Children from capitalizing, but the score was still left a 0-0. 2nd half was completely one sided dice wise though.

Thanks for the game JR, it was the dice that did ya :)
