However, although lower in number, injuries favored the Lizards. Between 2 casualties from fouls, a Lightning Bolt, a double-skulls rolled against a saurus, and a greedy/risky last-minute blitz on Turn 8, the Roughriders managed to remove all of Necro players who are any more nimble than MA4/AG2 by turn 10.
It looked like this would then become a simple evasion game, but then things got more interesting. The Lizard offense was stopped in its tracks by Stand Firm, and retreated the ball into the backfield. Seeing an opening a couple turns later, they rushed the ball forward, but Jeremiah Rose (aka "Mr. Terrible") failed his first 'sure-footed' GFI, and badly hurt himself.
The ball was swarmed with Zombies, who had by this time amassed a 5-man player advantage. They had 3 Rerolls and 4 turns to bring the ball 9 yards... but Nuffle came down hard, and wouldn't even let them get their hands on the thing. Fail after fail, lack of Agility gave the game to the Lizards.
Coach Jokaero played a nice game, and was a pleasure to be matched against.”
