“Unbelievable! The Bushido register their first win. And what a win. Nuffle smiled down on them as a series of improbable plays came off leaving the crowd delirious. Devatero were very unfortunate with some frankly terrible handling for elves but that shouldn't diminish from the Bushido's change of fortunes.
Questions should be asked of Harad after the team set up to defend only to realise at the last minute they were receiving but thereafter a fairly run of the mill running TD from Kritislik gave the skaven the lead.
There followed a solid piece of defensive work where a minor gap was exploited with a blitz spilling the ball. Kritislik pounced and was in for his second.
A strong throwing game got the elves back in the game before half time with their number 6 completing a nice run in.
In the second half, things got crazy. The elves were about to tie the match. Clear in the skaven half, they just needed a few more yard to bring the score to 2-2 but a great last ditch tackle stripped the ball. But devatero still looked primed to score. Enter Morskittar. The linesman dodged clear of his marker and ran back to collect the ball. Somehow he survived the attempts of the elves to bring him down in the tackle and he then dodged clear and set off towards the half way line. Picking out a fellow lineman he completed the pass and started to celebrate. The lineman didn't have the legs to outrun the opposition but Skreet took over and opened his scoring account.
With the game sealed the skaven relaxed and pulled off another stupendous touchdown. Again the elves were ready to score when Burr did his job and blitzed to win back the ball. With time running out Vreeth decided he would not be outdone by a linesman. At full speed he slid into a tackle zone and grabbed the ball from under the elves noses. He somehow then through a crossfield long bomb to the only skaven available. Thankfully, that skaven was the new gutter runner, Rsst. He turned on the afterburners and it was four.
Rumours of spiking the opposition drinks are denied.”
