“GLT X: Old Teams Qualifiers 3, Round 1 match

I meant to only get one card, but thought i hadn't gotten one, and ended up with 3. That is pretty much how the game went for me. Combination of me not playing well, my opponent playing very well, and the dice not letting me do the crazy things I wanted to try once things got out of hand.

1st half, Boomer really only had one good turn, when he knocked down 2 elves on his 1st throw. after that, several INT's and knocking my own players down just meant he wasn't much of a factor. He was my only chance to stop the score, but I needed a 6 and to knock the elf down :) oh, and 1st half, I KO'd 4 players, and 2 of them came back--only the rookies stayed off the pitch, leaving the elves with a full team at halftime.

2nd half, Flint did ok, but I used the bribe to keep him on the pitch on his lone foul (stunning one of the str 4 elves), and the elves scored the next turn..so he wasn't so great either.

1st casualty was by the elves, and I got 2 very late casualties once the game was decided. (one was a kill but the apoth worked at least).

Solvarn got one of the casualties and learns Guard, so all 7 of my Longbeards (err. blockers) have guard now :). Back to full positionals.. so not that bad of a game, despite the blow out.
