#1 Splat II – Dead (RIP) #6 Stoosh – Dead (RIP) #11 Maurk – Broken Neck (-AG)
“Not as close as the score shows, altho' some un/lucky rolls kept it in doubt 'til the very end.
1st half wasn't rough - kicked, pressured a quick score, easily evened the score, altho' good return pressure left him 2 Turns - but he chose not to try for the 2-TS. Only lost a rookie skink BH'd Turn 2 and another RIP'd Turn 3, so used Apo Turn 8 to guarantee KO'd Krox would stay in the game, and had a 9:8 man advantage, plus more strength on the field, because of it.
2nd half turned nasty, with more fouls as the Nurglers realized they were in trouble, but none did much (any?) damage. Turn 3 another rookie skink got RIP'd and the saurus got a meaningless -AG (equiv MNG for Ag 1), and the last quarter of the game was more even. Krox kept failing against The Beast, tied him and another saurus up, and so didn't get the chance to skill a saurus like I'd hoped... oh well. Skink stayed deep, then ran thru (surviving a blitz caused by a miscount and bad cage). Turn 16, no RR for either side, a double-gfi marked the skink on the goal line, but a desperation dodge by the beast (with no babysitter) saw the wild animal fail, allowing a 3d block to clear the mark - triple-Both-Down, no effect. So it came down to Ag 3 dodginess ftw, 2-1.

Turn 16 foul was just sore loser frustration.”
