#6 Slappy – Smashed Knee (NI)
#10 Limbo – Dead (RIP)

With only eight halflings lining up against the 'Berries for the first kick off, it was clear that the Foodeaters were at a distinct disadvantage from the first whistle. Not letting their lack of numbers stop them, the 'Eaters dodged through the Dingleberries lines to pressure Chucky Pieslayer, who had received the kick off on the wing. Seeing the opposition closing on him, he swiftly handed the ball off to Yippy, who was preparing to be thrown downfield. Unfortunately Neville was once again out of tune with the rest of the team and promptly fumbled Yippy, dropping him flat on his face. Things got swiftly worse, as the 'Eaters attacked the ball, Under Lad took the opportunity to block Limbo out of his path. The tackle brought Limbo down hard, snapping his neck as he crashed to the ground, killing him. Looking to follow his teammate's lead, Glob Clumpfoot put in a tackle on Slackfoot, but seriously injured himself in the process.

With all the tackles holding up the 'Berries around midfield, Greger Neger had managed to squeeze away from the pack and was heading for the endzone. Only the quick thinking of Treeman Jeff stopped him, as he picked up Dongo and hurled him backwards in order to stop Greger. Dongo put in a great block which KO'd Greger, but he badly hurt himself in the tackle. Another 'Eaters player managed to retrieve the now loose ball, and only Rusty was able to put any blocks onto him, but failed and allow him to run the touchdown before halftime.

The final few turns of the first half saw a serious injury inflicted on both teams, before the whistle was blown to signal the break. The second half saw five Foodeater's players lining up against eight 'Berries. A small bundle built up in the centre of the field and the fists went flying, whilst on the wing, Under Lad went for glory on his own. Willow killed Trind Shortfoot before Under Lad went for an extra yard to score, only to seriously injure himself in the attempt.

With the 'Eaters down to three players, the next few turns saw Bungo slowly advance upfield as the rest of the Dingleberries held up the few opponents they had. Turn seven saw Bungo finally score the equaliser for the 'Berries. Although this was excellent news, it was in the end rather silly. Even though the Foodeates only had three players, a touchback and a perfect defence roll gave them the opportunity for a throw teammate attempt, which they managed perfectly (fluke!), giving them the lead once again.

With a final turn still to play for the Berries, they set themselves up to retaliate in exactly the same fashion. Obviously Nuffle wouldn't let that happen, so as the ball bounced from kick off into the Dingleberries' endzone and out of reach of their chubby fingers, all hope was lost.

Halfling versus halfling matches always turn out to be far more violent affairs than they should be, but they're ALWAYS great fun and this proved no exception. :D The rematch is going to be very interesting indeed...
