“Pro Elves v Pro Elves in the Box! A rare sight indeed. Madness to the Method lined up with 3(!) highly agile players including one exceptionally fast. Ourselves we had lost our super agile leaper last match. But the rest of their team was made up of cripples and has-beens.
Deouf scored their first after a little moving around the pitch before dodging through our lines. When receiving we immediately ko'd 2 and injured one of the cripples. Things looked good and despite a catcher breaking our cage and momentarily stealing the ball we were able to stall out the half. With their superstar hurting himself in a late dodge and then trouble for players to recover from kos we were playing 11 v 6 at the start of the second half. However it got to 9 v 6 and it was not looking as easy to control the play as it should have been. Eventually at 8 v 5 it looked like we had the corner controlled and no way for their agile players to dodge in and blitz our carrier. However through a chainpush they moved us so Lorello Smooth scored early!
Probably I messed this up, being so careful that he couldn't dodge in but then packing too tightly.
This left them with moments to score. We did blitz down their ball carrier on the flank but Lorello couldn't pick up the surrounded ball. It scattered to the side and the Method somehow managed to get their way through with one blitzer making a long pass to the other in the end zone. Somehow we let the win slip! ”
