A tough start for our froggers but the rats score early after milking some passing action, allowing us to come back and ... wait, no blitz and it's 0-2 rats. Dang! Our plan of fouling goes poorly as it proves difficult to topple rats but we do get one eventually. A sloppily called OTS for the frogs is pulled off by Woodson despite the coach making it harder than it needed to be.
Halftime: 1-2 rats.
With 9 frogs we start gambling on bash and fouls but a risky frenzy blitz fails to take down anyone except the blitzer setting up a 1d pow on woodson from the still standing lino. It's chaos, rats recover and the game is lost... until we are issued an invitation to OT by more passing action - which proves too much this time. Woodson calls the play, strutting his stuff and organizing a sideline cage, followed by switching fields. He's wrestled down but recovers.
One poorly called play later he's taken down again by the fearsome skaven blitzer but manages to stay unhurt. Woodson blitzes the ball free and runs it in to equalize. With 0 RR, the rat OTS fizzles despite the frogs not having enough players left to even put up a line. Frogs win the toss and with 1 carefully hoarded RR to the rat's 0 RR it looks like we have a good shot to win it... until a pitch invasion (turns out losing the FAME sometimes hurts badly regardless of who has more FF...) levels the team leaving only 3 frogs (all on the LOS) standing. Rats rush in and manage to foul Woodson and stun him again. Desperate plans are tried but they fall short allowing the rats an easy win in the end.
Good game sir!”
