“Frustrating game in that I couldn't get many Skaven off the pitch, while my guys were falling like flies. Somehow, I managed the tie though

1st half, I got the ball 1st and tried to score quickly, but left Whoops out by himself, thinking he was relatively safe (block/dodge, not in range of many), but a 2db by a blockless thrower later, he's BH. I get the ball back with a dodge and take down the a B/D GR (all 3 GR have block/dodge). A 1db by a GR results in a skull--KO, then I KO another by pushing him out bounds. Trying to stall, however, gets my Block Wolf BH, so I score on turn 6. only 1 GR comes back from KO at the least, so we are both at 10. The KO goes right to a GR on the LOS, but for some reason, the GR runs by himself down field and only 1 square from the sideline..and my other wolf is 4 or so squares away..so out of bounds/ko goes the GR!. With the ball thrown back to mid-field, a scrum insues, but no one really can get to it--I do manage to KO the other GR (so 2 KO, one in reserve)


2nd half, neither GR recovers, so he's down to one, but I can't stop the TD, partially due to me throwing a 1db frenzy block on one of his blitzers which skulls on the 2nd block (I want to point this out, because late in the game, my opponent complained that all my 1db were POWs.. up to this point, I don't think I had even thrown a 1db, while he had thrown several). Anyway, it's 1-1 by skaven turn 3. all 3 of my KO's recover, while only one of his do, but I make a HUGE mistake by blitzing with my BC (the blockless wolf) then trying to dodge away when that failed. I fall, the 2 GR's and a thrower combine to get the ball in for a defensive TD..2-1. I was surprised when he apothecaried a Rookie Linerat that was BH on this drive. Maybe it's just me, but linerats on my skaven team never see the apothecary :) Now, I have 3 turns left, and manage to tie up the game on turn 8.
