“This was a fun match but started nightmarishly. The Dwarfs somehow caught us flatfooted and blitzed us from the off. It was all Dwarfs on the LOS with a lot of guards amongst them. We got a couple down before a lino fell and then Siggen, an experienced Longbeard just charged through and felled Wilhelmus "Fisher King" Klose our star catcher. It was clear he was badly injured. The apo bounded up and however pronounced him dead! This once fast and agile player is a massive loss to the Plebeians. He had been touted as having a great chance to make super status this game too, but it seemed his niggling injury may have contributed to his downfall. The ball was lost but Jesiah managed to recover it and pass it to Larrus. After he too was brought down Gotwinus did magnificent play to recover the ball, get away from his opponents, avoid their lunges and eventually make it to the endzone.
After a long kick by our kicker a Dwarf blitzer tripped up and Jesiah made chase. He actually blitzed the scared Dwarf off the end of the pitch but the fans didn't hurt the little guy much. Jesiah hadn't followed up to the endzone and a blitzer fell over then when trying to get in position for an unlikely catch.
Second half Paulus "The Butcher" called out Siggen for what he had done to Wilhelmus. He then dealt a huge blow and Siggen was dead! Retribution made so quickly. After that the Dwarfs made their way to the endzone slowly, hitting hard as they went and also benefitting from a wizard's fireball. 1-1 in the end.”
