Which ever team caused more casualties in a half, scored that half. Luckily for me, I did so in the 1st half and in OT.
1st half, I had a drive that was the closest to a 'Textbook' Dwarven drive than I've been able to pull off in a very long time. Caged up, spent a couple of turns bashing at the LOS while still protected by the cage, then broke through and slowly marched down the field for a TD on turn 8. Along the way, I got 3 casualties and a KO. The Apoth was used on the 1st BH (on a runner), but still, by the end of the drive, I had removed opponents and that made the drive quite a bit easier.
2nd half, I did not have such a good 'textbook' defense. In fact, I suffered 2 Casualties (apoth turned a kill into a MNG) and a KO, while not inflicting any, despite being up 11 men to 9 at the Kickoff. Needless to say, I was not able to stop the 8 turn TD. It was close, as I did get to the Ball Carrier deep in his territory and knock the ball out, but I pushed to hard to get to him, and when he passed (inaccurate, but bounced to his mv 7 blitzer) the ball back to mid-field, I was in trouble. I did manage a 1db, but only got a push, where his 1db knocked my blocker down. From there, it was a given he would score. Of note, I was able to hurt another blocker on the turn 8 kick off, which helped in OT.
On to OT. I receive and still have 11 players (thanks to the 2 reserves I had) to his 8. This made scoring a little bit easier, especially after taking out Zozon, one of his runners (I imagine he won't be staying with the team with that -ma). Still, it took longer as I got stopped along the sideline and had to reverse field. Luckily, I was able to do so (being up players helped quite a lot).
Nelson gets +1MA, while Fred teaches Clyde how to side step opposing players while they spend time healing broken bones..
Now to consider (again)buying the Death Roller. John Deer fooled me last game, telling us in the interview that he could drive one. The Coach was very upset when he couldn't even turn the machine on--even after given detailed instructions.
