“Quite simply put - the most frustrating match of bloodbowl I have ever played. My opponent was fully reliant on handicaps (he managed to get both that he wanted, though lost one on a misclick), and significantly altered his team in order to hold on to them. In the end, two things turned out to be decisive in this game. #1 - landslide rolling for my opponent, #2 - the wizard.
I wish I could draw useful lessons from this (beyond don't block first when out of rerolls when frustrated and conceded), but it's really impossible. My opponent's block positioning was bad for most of the first half, but it ended up not mattering because of terrible rolls in T7/8 robbing me of two touchdown attempts.
This loss feels hollow, because I lost more to rolling and handicaps than to my opponent. Hope my next match isn't as awful to play as this one.
In the end, I was robbed, not beaten.
Oh, one more thing. Does anyone else find Boomer Eziasson vastly underpriced at 60k? I mean, there's no way he's worth less than a Longbeard.”
