1. OWCC League: NBE survives for the win...

When t.i. took a wizard + 2 Bribes, the Expats knew things could get bloody. But despite a thrashing, the lizards hung on for their 2nd win in the short OWCC season.

t.i. chose to receive, but after using 1 RR to GFI to the sidelines where the ball lay, the ballcarrier failed a 2nd (and unnecessary?) GFI to get off the sidelines. The Expats recovered on the 8 behind a DT screen, but the original ti ballcarrier stood up and powed him to the ground. But the Expats coaching staff mis-read a skill on a player and chose Both-Down instead of RR'ing, ending their turn early, and ti recovered. But over the next turns ti could not find the cage, and the defense grew tighter as 2 C. Warriors left the field, their blodger KO'd but a blocker RIP'd! Then a skink KO'd their baller to end Turn 4, and, despite a fireball that -Ag'd a skink, the defensive score was all but unstoppable as 2 more rotters were KO'd, a pesti surfed and another KO'd by foul, leaving only 4 Nurgles against a mostly intact Lizard roster.

With 2 Turns and 2 RR remaining, the Expats made the most of a rare opportunity to handoff to a saurus for the score, 1-0 at the half.

2nd half the Expats received, and ti were lacking their baller and their Ag 4 Pesti's and Blodge Warrior still asleep, plus another Warrior dead. But they could still field 11, and still had 2 Bribes, and put their DP to work. By the time the Expats had the ball in the hands of another Saurus behind a screen Turn 4, 2 other Sauri had been fouled out, next turn their +Ag Kicker skink was killed on the Blitz and the Krox went MNG on another foul. Turn 5 saw another Saurus stunned and surrounded, so the Expats took their 2nd score, 2-0 with 3 turns to go.

Turn 6 saw neither of the Sauri wake up but all core Nurgle return, so, battered but with the win all but guaranteed, the Expats chose not to challenge the last score, and simply defended themselves on the far side of the field, and take the 2-1 win.
