“This was a cracking game between the league's heaviest hitters and the stubborn Reptiles...in the end Butte Kickers emerged the deserved 1-0 winners, though there were many ups and downs during the match.

In the first half the Kickers were able to smash their way down-field for a relatively comfortable score- even though there were some minor hiccups such as unlikely Sauri dodging out and knocking down the rushing ball carrier! At the very end of the half the Reptiles had an outside chance for a score- the ball carrier did the hard work in avoiding the tacklers, but in the end was tackled by a resolute player with no specialist skill in tackling.

In the second half the Reptiles tried to hold a loose formation and move laterally to confuse coach OTS- who responded by tying up the line players with overloads, forcing coach Hayati to make a decision. This he did, opting for the right sideline- which coach OTS promptly shut down! Next the Reptiles were forced to redeploy their skink cage in the center, but the football carrier fell on a critical dodge and injured himself before they could do so! From there the game became quite the melee with coach OTS eventually emerging with the football. However, he was just short of being able to score again for a convincing 2-0 victory.

Throughout the match the Reptiles held up well against the onslaught of armor-breaking blocks and blitzes, but there were casualties- Ed “Two Tails” Jones was seriously injured with -1MA and Roger "the Dodger" Staubach was killed. Still, coach Hayati feels that the Reptiles got out of this game quite lightly, all things considered!

It was noted that Butte Kickers have only one specialist ball carrier, Larson the Claw, since the other was lost in their last match- coach Hayati thinks that he needs to be eliminated to stop this team!”
