“A well played match-up in which the Chaos Dwarves took an early player advantage on the opening drive. Darsin Hornhead tried to be sneaky and fouled Cornelius, hurting him badly. Cornelius would not return. For his foul, however, Darsin was kicked out of the game.
The Apes responded by starting a battle in the trenches. Nova, seeking retribution for the loss of Cornelius, attempted to foul Avel Axehead in response, but the eagle eyed ref caught him, and he too was banned from the pitch.
From that point on, the match turned into a slugfest, with players on both sides spending more than a few turns on the ground. The dwarves then pressed their advantage with a brutal hit on Lucius, knocking him out. The game then took it's first turn when Axel Axehead tried to take out George Taylor, but the resulting impact knocked both players down.
Dr. Zaius then slammed brutally into Vina Baruhk, knocking him into the crowd, who immediately frenzied and tried to kill him. Vina escaped, and would return later in the half. Dr. Zaius began a rally that left several dwarves on their backs. And then, Orken Slavemaster, who had been carrying the ball, tripped over his hooves and dropped the ball. Julius of the apes emerged from the scrum with the ball and beelined towards the endzone, but not before the dwarves knocked Zira out.
The dwarves fought valiantly, but could not keep Julius out of the endzone.
The 2nd half began with the Apes only capable of fielding 7 players against the 10 dwarf players. Clearly outnumbered, the Apes strategy became to stall. Lucius, manage to fling the ball to mid-field, and for his effort was sent flying into the crowd. The frenzied dwarf fans took out the frustration at Lucius's valiant effort, and beat the poor ape senseless.
The ball lay on the ground for a few moments before anyone realized it was quietly sitting there. Eventually, Colberane Ori found it, and after a few near misses, he found his feet and broke away from the apes, scoring as time expired to tie the game.
In the end, Seared Spikehead, who had several key blocks, and Julius who scored the lone TD for the Apes, were named MVP. No players were left injured, and the two heated rivals parted with a sportsman's handshake. Though the game ended in a tie, each team had it's victories.
