The game was marred by crowd trouble at the start with rocks being thrown onto the pitch stunning a Rush and Leap player and KOing a thrall. This made Drak very angry. Drak tried to slake his anger by drinking some blood from Benedick but ended up impaling him on his fangs. As Benedick was left badly hurt in the dugout Rush and Leap scored their first touch down. Kicking off they managed to blitz the CDJ lines nearly securing the ball. Still fuming about the rock thrown at his team Drak causes his second casualty of the match this time taking out Pro from Rush and Leap but one of the team doctors patched him up. Ulaar obviously decided this wasn't enough carnage and so left the pitch to go and find the rock thrower in the crowd and bite them. With CDJ shorthanded the frogs capitalised and scored their second TD meaning they were 2-0 up after three turns. Attempting to regain control of the match CDJ finally managed a turn where they secured the ball and started advancing up field however this came undone in turn 4 where Drak decided to vent some more steam and ended up killing Frog's with the sawbones being unable to save him. Realising this wasn't in the rules Drak threw himself to the floor attempting to make it look like an accident. This did not fool the league commissioner however he was distracted by the Slann scoring their third touch down. This wound Drak up even more and resulted in him causing another casualty amongst the thralls. This time the team doctor stepped up to ensure that Boris would be able to continue. Rush and Leap retrieved the ball and were heading for a 4th touch down until Jaegar came to the rescue and intercepted a pass stopping the attack. Jaegar then carried the ball to score a TD that meant CDJ were only 3-1 down at half time.
The second half started with CDJ receiving but some poor handling allowed Rush and Leap to swarm the ball carrier and get in position to score their 4th TD. The wizard came to the rescue blasting short term who was poised to score allowing Drak to scoop up the ball and pass it behind the Slann lines. Despite the Slann scrambling back to mark the ball carrier Athais managed to hold on to the ball and score bring CDJ within one TD of a tie. A positioning mistake by Rush and Leap allowed Ulaar to make a hole in their defensive lines with his hypnotic gaze which gave Drak the opportunity to blitz the ball carrier. With the ball heading towards the Rush and Leap end zone Athais took a chance and hit Graham Cleareagle when no one was looking killing him. This unsettled the Slann allowing Ulaar to make a break and score to level the scores.
An excellent game however CDJ and their fans are obviously proving to be a lot more violent than the league commissioner expected.”
