“<b>Light City Daily</b> (tm)

<b>T</b>oday at the Light City Stadium (tm) the Armadillos took on the Barcelona Dragons in the first quarter final of the season. The Armadillo fans had shown up in great numbers, but the Dragon fans were few. Light City Stadium (tm) Security said they arrested many Dragon fans trying to smuggle in rocks and other objects they obviously intended to throw at the Armadillo players.

<b>T</b>he match itself was a breath taking event. The Armadillos kicked off and immediately rushed the unprepared Dragons. It was a textbook example touchdown by "Stonefist".

<b>A</b>lthough the Armadillos would have liked to take the Dragons by surprice again, the second kickoff showed the Dragons playing alot more aggresively; sending Natalia Borruel down the field with not alot of backup.

<b>I</b>t was a risky play, and the ball changed control several times. In the end the Dragons secured the ball and showed some good ball handling, ending with a touchdown by Natalia Borruel.

<b>T</b>he Armadillos showed immense control after recieving. "Longbomb" made a daring pass across several Dragon players to "Stealth" who had run down the right side. Another great touchdown by the Armadillos.

<b>S</b>econd half saw the Armadillos recieving. Several players ran down the left side while "Longbomb" and "Hail Mary" secured the ball. In the end it was stopped by an incredible feat by Dragon Thrower Javier Verano, who interceptet the pass from "Hail Mary" to "Precision".

<b>B</b>eing very vulnerable, Javier Verano decided to give the ball to Ivan Gómez, who was completely unprepared for this. Ivan Gómez dropped the ball where he stood, and with amazing skill "Longbomb" went in and picked the ball up from right in front om him followed by a pass to "Precision" for the Armadillos third touchdown.

<b>D</b>own by two touchdowns the Dragons tried to pick up the pace. The Armadillos, however, foresaw this and blocked all access to their half of the field. Still, Natalia Borruel found an opening, and with the ball ran deep down the left side, catching the Armadillos off guard. Another touchdown by Natalia Borruel for the Dragons.

<b>W</b>ith only a few minutes to go, the Armadillos recieved. Being the show player that he is, "Longbomb" had to show the crowd where he got his nickname. Maybe he shouldn't have, cause it clearly wasn't from this game he got it.

<b>T</b>he ball sailed through the air and fell way off target. Javier Verano saw the opportunity and sprintet to the ball. He picked it up even with the Armadillo players baring down on him. He threw the ball halfway across the field to Natalia Borruel, who could safely run to the endzone for the Dragons third and tying touchdown.

<b>I</b>n the overtime, the Armadillos won the coin toss to recieve. Clearly marked by the events of the second half, they played it safe and took no chances. The Dragons, however, had tasted victory and were determined to stop the Armadillos.

<b>M</b>ost everyone must have thought it over for the Armadillos, but through some impressive plays by "Lightning" and "the Executioner", the Armadillos were able to score another touchdown.

<b>T</b>he tie was secure it looked, and the Armadillos just needed to stop the Dragons from scoring to be sure to go on to the semi finals. The Dragons, however, had other plans. After a slow buildup the Dragon players suddenly rushed through the Armadillo lines, leaving only "Stealth" fast enough to catch up to Bárbare Castellana who was carrying the ball.

<b>I</b>t was a futile attempt though. The Dragons were strong on the offensive, and Bárbare Castellana easily scored the tying touchdown.

<b>T</b>he fans were angry. They stormed the field, and the match had to be stopped. It was too late in the game for the Armadillos to score anyway, but it was a sad way to end the match indeed.

<b>T</b>he Armadillos went on to the semi finals on a coin toss. They could have secured the victory through normal means, had "Longbomb" not decided to make the pass late in the second half, but in the end the result was the same.
