“Yet another close one. Coach Xeterog has got to work on his offense to give this team a chance at winning a game at some point
1st half, the Norse score quickly in 3 turns, marching down the sideline with little resistance from the Dwarves of Karak. The dwarves then try a nice drive of their own, only to have coaching mistakes doom them to a 0-1 half time deficit. 1st, Larry is told to punt the ball, and follows orders, but has to dodge through a TZ to do so--it works, but easily could have failed. Then, with the ball on the ground an marked by one opponent, Coach Xeterog calls for a safe play to get near the ball, but not score this turn--only next turn is HALF TIME. Poor clock management.
2nd half, things went a little better, as the dwarves received the Kickoff and marched down the pitch--taking the near naked norse off the pitch at an alarming rate. However, again, Coach Xeterog manages to mis-play the clock and does not have the team press forward quickly enough to score with enough time to take the lead later. So, with most of the Illini on the ground, a call for the delay is issued--settling for the tie instead of taking the risk that 2 turns would be enough to score a defensive TD.
Junior learns to Dodge better (double 5's..almost took the movement), while Thompson becomes the final player on the team to learn how to Block properly. ”
