“Should have scored more than one, but the 'luck' wasn't as one sided as my opponent seemed to think.
1st half opens with a blitz--with the ball on the LOS. I get under it, but my agility 4 runner Baraim fails to catch it--it ends up in the hands of Valdur, a longb...err...Blocker. From there, I should have been able to secure the ball and score, but 'luck' (I'm sure my opponent would say his skill--but I'm not giving him that, as he claimed during that game that I had NO skill, and only played nuffle/luck) dictated that I would not score. At least I didn't give up a TD
2nd half, according to my opponent, my luck continued, as I was able to score--no mention of his skill in -2db'ing my deathroller and stunning him early. Still, I was able to get the score in about the middle of the half--it was a 'lucky' score, as I had to dodge into a TZ (4+), pickup the ball (4+, but with sure hands) then dodge (3+) away to score. I can't remember if I had a RR available or not at this point..but that didn't really matter, as I was otherwise decently positioned if the try didn't work....oh, but I only play with luck apparently.
no new skills
<ranting begins>
(btw, I should not let opponents get under my skin so much. Really--it is just a tactic to try to get me to let up or not take advantage by saying I have not skill at all and only rely on luck...But I really does sometimes get to me...it's like people (including me) don't understand that 1) this is a game, 2) it involved DICE, 3) getting a favorable result on the DICE does not automatically mean you play only with luck 4) getting an unfavorable result on the DICE does not mean you are unlucky and can't win.
btw, Throwing 1db and not falling down is not 'lucky', as it only happens against me 1/6th of the time (since all but 2 players have block on my team)--and it did fail me about that much in this game. Heck, I even failed a 2db a couple of times this game (as did my opponent).
