After a dismal start to the season, the Pro Tigers finally turned their luck around enough to squeak out a 2-1 win. 1st half saw the usually bad luck compounded by some boneheaded decisions by the coach - really, wasn't it obvious that Isaac Bruce didn't have the Block skill ?!? Why choose a both down against that hobbo when you could have just pushed and dodged away. We'll miss Bruce next game, but we managed to score in spite of burning all our rerolls to heave the ball into the endzone. Actually, the last reroll was spent on the 2+ catch :( Then the Pro Tigers defense held firm for the rest of the first half, and turned the Fumbbling Illini over in the 2nd half for a defnesive TD. It was a close thing though, as Charles Greenhill nearly paid the price. Fortunately the apo was on the job and patched him up, while Casinelli smacked the Bull Centaur away from the ball and recovered it. Then the Pro Tigers just tried to slow the Illini offense until T8 which they did. It was a close thing, but J Smith made several dodges and even more gfis to eat up ground and finally get free and into the endzone. A Blitz on the ensuing kickoff meant Smith went after Greenhill again, but this time he didn't break armor. The Pro Tigers pushed Smith away and got a garbage time pass to end the game. Decent money to help build up the roster again and quite a few skills. Maybe our next 3 games will go like this with us getting 2 and our opponent getting 1, but I'm not holding my breath.
Thanks for the game, finster5, and good luck with the Illini.
edit: oh yeah, the 3 CAS brings our total CAS for the season to 4. This single game quadrupled our CAS count, and saw our first 2 kills. Hobbos are as squishy as elves.”
