A tough 'mirror match' game against a good coach and one in the end I was lucky to win.
My game plan was simple, target the opponents rotters, star Warrior and Ball Carrier, stay in the game while opponent numbers dwindled and use the wizard to steal at a crucial moment ... but like all great plans, it didn't quite work out like that.
Dominik received first and in his first 4 blocks took out 3 players, including a key warrior who failed his regen. This left me with an uphill struggle first half with the only one of Dominik's players leaving the field being his DP (thanks to the ref). However, once he scored I was able to take out a couple of rotters on T8, leaving me with some hope.
Second half started well for me and I managed to get the numerical advantage, but my drive stalled slightly and was not helped by the ref knocking off a turn. Running out of time I had to use my wizard to break free, but I was still in range of one of Dom's players who downed the ball carrier. All but out with little time left I had been left small chance and with a dodge and a few GFI's I took it and downed the ball carrier. As a bonus I even managed to dodge out a Pesti and score, for 1-1.
Into OT and although Dom received, I had the numbers. After a few positional tussles there was only one team left on the pitch and although Dom did what he could, the Barons walked the ball in to take what early on was looking an unlikely win.
Thanks for the game Dom, it was a tough one. Best of luck with the Nurgles.”
