Clawers polute the way to the cup final stage, I am afraid. Today, the Lords faced some nasty CDs with 2 clawpomerbs. Besides, the CDs received the initial kick and thus sent out some thralls. Strategy was focused on fouling the pombers early and the first turn was achieved, resulting in a stun and a ban.
The Lords left open one side while fouling the pombers. A blitz and a some fouls later, both of them were out. Nanos could have scored any time in the half as they found no resistance. But they stalled. And so, Lords decided to defend seriously in turns 6-7-8 so to stop the score. They could have built a good web in the turn 7 if not for the snakes rolled by a thrall coming to position.
But in turn, Nanos rolled snakes in the block of the last vamp standing before the TD. As they spent 1 rr in turn 1 to turn a both down to pow (which was not neccesary), they lack the rr and thus they were unable to score.
In the half, their pombers did not recover and a bribe in the kick event allowed the vamps to achieve some numbers advantage by fouling Nanos.
That allowed for a long stalling in the second half scoring in turn 8. Nanos did good efforts to stop the score, but the hobgobbos and the bull were not the tools for the task.
In turn 16, they tried to chain push their bull to scoring range but the ball was far away from his position and thus it was negated...
Thanks Jundru for a good game and superb sportmanship.
PS: Oppo induced 150K and tried to hire a wizard for the game. Unfortunately, the agent in charge of the recruit was fooled by a passing merchant that sold him a "magical item" and that annoyed the waiting wizard who decided not to support Nanos in the game. Do not send a hobgoblin next time, mate.”
