#1 Arquenniel – Broken Ribs (MNG) #6 Raina – Dead (RIP) #17 Albert Clumsyorc – Dead (RIP)
“A cracking game and I think the highest scoring game I've ever been involved in! There were a lot of strong, cavalier plays and both teams look primed to score well in the regular season.
This time the Sycamores learned the lessons of the first game and were not caught out by any Diving Tackles. As a result, the game was very competitive and in the end a draw was likely a fair outcome.
The dark cloud for coach Hayati came with the late death of Raina- with 100k in the treasury, coach Hayati has decided not to make an immediate replacement and instead to opt for a second Wardancer after the next game. As a result, the Sycamores need a few more games to prepare themselves for the regular season.
On the other side, Padfinger look well primed for the regular season with a TV of 1320k, 4 re-rolls and an AG4 lineman!”
Same teams and immediately following this previous game, but 2 Dodgers plus Kick for the WElfs, and one Blocker for the Frogs made a world of difference.
Nothing "cooperative" about this match, the bash was on (as much as possible, given the team skills), but both coaches had figured out their preferred 2-Turn-Score technique, and it seemed to work. Over 90 blocks were thrown (61 Padfinger, 30 Sycamores) and a surf (altho' straight into Reserves).
Padfinger was trailing by a touchdown most of the game, and only luck allowed them the final 2-TS, which was also when the WElf Dodger bought it on a freak Pow.
Padfinger got screwed on the gate money, but still had (just) enough for a 3rd Catcher, and got 5(!) skills out of this match, including their 2nd Blocking Blitzer, a Doubles for a Guard Catcher, and a +Ag lino, plus some slop spread around to poise some players for next game.”
