Too much Block, too many early casualties and key ones, too many 1d's that knocked down (and no skulls!) - but worst, too many small mental errours that all added up to the loss.
Despite a Perfect Defense, the "all dwafz LoS" offense sent 2 (rookie) Bonobos off Turn 1 - one BH, one -St, with 2 more Stunned and a Gorilla down. Turn 2 CHUMP blitzed the ballcarrier, but the wrong direction, and the bounce went into the middle of several dwarf linos. The following turn they miscounted the Blitz and so missed a 1d on the ballcarrier. Turn 4 +MA Wrestler was -MA'd (back in game via Apo!), and the 'Saw KO'd the Guard Gorilla, CHUMP's best weapon against the dwarf machine. Still, CHUMP got a double-gfi 1d on the ballcarrier on their own 3 yard line, and RIP'ed him(!) via a sacrifice Both-Down. But after that, the 10 Dwarfs had an easy time stalling against the 7 remaining Apes - 1-0.
T8 kick was meaningless, except that the Guard Gorilla did not wake up for that nor the 2nd half Ape's drive. Still, the Apes were able to pull off a 2-Turn Score, but could not stall as they might have hoped, giving the Dwarfs 7 Turns for the win. The Guard Gorilla did wake up for the Turn 2 kickoff, 10 dwarfs v. 9 Apes, but a Wrestler was KO'd Turn 3, and a Gorilla Turn 4, and starting Turn 5 it was another stall game, as the Apes were mostly all on the ground at the start of their turn. Turn 7 the Wrodge Chimp MNG'd itself on a failed dodge Blitz attempt, and that was last nail in the coffin, the dwarfs scoring, having only used 1 RR (and that optional, seeking a Pow) the whole half.”
