“The Undead's initial round of hits didn't work well, and they couldn't push forward. They made up for it a couple turns later, with four Undead ganging up to take Legend pestigor Samuel Beckett down and then foul him out with a niggle, but the ref was alert, ejecting the fouler. The early end for the turn let the other pestigors into the backfield, marking both ghouls. The junior ghoul hit Both Downs on a setup hit to eat a reroll, and the senior failed the dodge away due to Tackle, CASing himself. The Pestilence failed some rolls themselves, but managed to collect the ball on turn 5, scoring to clear the chainsaw off the field. The Nurgles got greedy on defence, running a pestigor into scoring distance instead of keeping a safety back, and the Undead made rolls to get into the end zone. They failed two KO rolls before the last turn of the half, though, and then three after the Pestilence smacked some zombies around, leaving each team at nine players for the second half.

The Pestilence kept the ball centred, hitting and waiting for an opening. When both wights went to one side to deal with a forward pestigor, the other mobile Nurgles headed around the other side, screening to keep a blitz away from the ball-carrier. They got to scoring distance, stalling for a turn before scoring on turn 7. The Undead was out of rerolls, and could not score in only two turns.”
