“AWC North v. AWC South round 3

This game started with my Blodge Lineelf getting KO'd on the first blitz. Then the wizard totally whiffed on the lightning bolt and I knew it was over. So Nuffle decided to step in and give Jeffro 2 turns of double 1s and an early turnover. I recovered the ball and scored, but refused to get my hopes up. The Pro Bowlers scored on their second drive, then set up to give me a turn 8 OTTD opportunity. Nuffle decided to intervene with a Perfect Defense, so no dice. 2nd half was going so well, when one of those bloody AG5 Throwers dodged through a bajillion TZs to score a POW on Jordell. He also made fun of his hair and stole the ball. Jordell responded like a true Wood Elf - he pushed the Thrower around. Captain Thunderbolt came over and KILLED his @$$, but the Mackville apo was on the spot (wish ours worked like that). With his near-dying last breath, the Thrower ricocheted the ball off an eager fan's head and bounced it right to the Mackville Blitzer who caught it surrounded by 300 Bushrangers. Some heroics by Bold Jack Donahue knocked it loose and Jack recovered, but the Pro Bowlers made easy work of that and got it back again. Then Nuffle decided that he had been too nice to the Bushrangers and we ended the game with 2 straight turns of snake eye, just like the Pro Bowlers early drive. I guess the Karmic scales are balanced (though not really), but it was the right result and the one I expected all along. Just glad I have a team left, I'm tired of replacing War Dancers.

Update: Jordell was better than I thought he would be. I normally prefer Eldril Sidewinder, but I needed a replacement War Dancer. He never failed anything that I would have been tempted to use a team reroll on, and he wasn't the only elf to snake a dodge so I can't even be made about that. His Catch skill actually came in handy. But like every blodger in the entire world, he's a POW magnet.”
