#2 Anika Bluehoof – Serious Concussion (-AV)
#3 Susan Delight – Smashed Hand (MNG)
Fumbbl Cup - Round 5:

First half, we had to kickoff and lost 1 blocker on the LOS - however, the nurgle team left the ball wide open for a 2d blitz...was it a trap? Well, the 2d with RR failed, and the nurgle rotter dodged away at cage up. It looked bad, when a 1d POW on our blodger bull was a RIP (apoth to -AV) - but again, the nurgle left the ball open to a 2d blitz - this time we took out the rotter and the ball was free...but the loss of our bull put us down players and made it hard to stop the score. The fireball stunned several players and that prevented any real late defense, so the score was made and nurgle went up 1-0. On turn 8, we still had 11 players, but the nurgle were down to 8...so we decided to play for the numbers advantage and Timmy came through with the key foul for a BH with no regen on a warrior to set up the second half.

Second half, we were down 0-1, but up 11 to 7 in regards to players. Timmy again came through with the foul on turn 1 to KO the beast of nurgle...however, a blocker was SI'ed in return blocks by the nurgle - it was still a struggle, now 10 to 6 on the field. Again, our blocking could do nothing and yet again, it was Timmmy with a foul on another nurgle warrior for a BH with no regen! It was enough as we managed to block for a few KOs, Timmy smashed a collar bone of another nurgle warrior (this one regened) - but the nurgle had only 2 players left. It was turn 6 and we fouled first (Timmy BH another pest - no regen) and scored to see if we could end the game in regulation.

All three KOs stayed out for the nurgle - so they could only field 2 players - and we stacked the line and managed to score as time expired for the 2-1 win.

Thanks for the game! Was a costly one for us with 2 key players out for next round. Take care.

Screw Timmy, anyway.

The Pestilence took a 1-0 lead late in the first half, but were already behind on guys. The fireball went on spec when seven Squadders gathered for their first gang-foul of the game, but took nobody out. Timmy proceeded to go on a rampage, fouling four of the Pestilence out of the game over the next six turns. The ref never caught on, and in the end A Well-Read Pestilence could only field two players for the 1-1 drive, and Azure took a two-turn TD and the game. Congrats, and good luck in the next round.
