“Steaked went into this match needing to win to top regionals. Anything else, amd the Banner woud take it.
Buuface played very well on defense and managed to stop Jevouse from scoring with lots of KOs and a couple of cas on both sides.Things looked grim as Buuface KOed two of the LoS right at the start of the 2nd half, however the hero blodge/sidestepper Grilled had other ideas. In a key moment of the match he sidestepped behind the front line after being knocked down, with buuface placing his ball carrier right next to him. With his guard man out, there was no difficulty in basing the cage and 1 die blitzing the ball loose. Two fortuitous scatters later, the ball was loose and ripe for the picking. Deftly snapped up by the runner, Braised, he was later blitzed by the emerging star player Grumnir and dumped the ball off to Diced, who simply dodged and ran the ball in. Buuface did not give up , however, and despite my stripping the ball loose with a 2 dice against block, the scatter this time was not so lucky and Buuface easily recovered with Grumnir. With Braised tripping on his 1 die strip ball blitz, the score was tied at 1-1 on Turn 15.
With one turn left, it was left to Grilled to step up and do the one turn touch down. Everything started off well, with a quick snap, however the ball was kicked to furthest sideline and a long bomb was required. 2 blocks, a dodge, and a blitz later...Grilled was free and in scoring position. The new Witch Elf Stewed did her part by acing the long bomb, which Grilled caught. The crowd held their breath as he went for the two dodges and the two GFIs necessary to score. A gasp was heard round the stadium as he seemed to slip and get brought down by his marker but he recovered magnificently and completed the touchdown for a thrilling end to the debut season of Steaked.”
